Shalini was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a teen ager, a condition that had left her severely disabled with limited mobility. The condition continued to progress with time. It first confined her to a wheelchair and then four major joints, both of her hips and knees, deteriorated and resulted in her becoming house bound and eventually bed bound. Despite all this Shalini managed to graduate in Computer Science. With hopes of walking again and leading a normal life like most her age, Shalini having heard of our services decided to connect with us.
With both her hips and knees completely immobile, she was terribly restricted in movement. This posed several serious challenges in daily activities most of us take for granted. Our doctors worked on her joints and sequentially replaced both hips and knees . She made a remarkable recovery and is now fully mobile and independent.
